Four Eyes Are Better Than Two

Last month I was contacted by Firmoo.com, an online optical store, about trying out one of their eyeglasses. It worked out perfect. I usually get my annual eye checkup in December.

My initial thoughts were a bit skeptical. I have never purchased glasses online. And to be honest, I hate buying glasses because I have such a hard time finding glasses that go well with my face. But these days, glasses aren't the same as when we were growing up. The options are endless now. And eyeglasses are much more popular today too. My daughter was dying to have a pair even before she actually needed them.

Firmoo sent me a link to their site -Firmoo. I started looking around at the options and was surprised by all the styles. Literally, every style imaginable is available on the site. My second surprise was the prices. The prices are reasonable!

Once you are on the site, you can upload a photo and start browsing. I found the best forward facing photo, I had on the computer, and started playing around. I put on all kinds of glasses on the photo, even glasses I would never wear. I was just having fun.

Andy helped me measure my Pupillary Distance, or PD, and then things started to get easier. Every pair of glasses has certain specifications. I started noticing that the glasses that didn't fit my PD didn't look good on my face. I finally settled on a pair of eyeglasses, a thick framed tortoise color pair.

 

I have been buying glasses for a few years now. I have astigmatism. The price of the glasses I picked are $33. My pair was free because I am writing this here review. But that is still an affordable pair of glasses. I usually pay about $100 for a good pair at a local optical store.

After I made my selection online, I put in my prescription and finalized my order. Now, I happen to have a prescription but you can buy glasses without. I believe that's the style these days; Everyone wants to wear glasses to make a fashion statement.

Firmoo shipped my glasses and they arrived a week later. Let me just tell you that although the glasses are inexpensive there is nothing inexpensive feeling about the actual glasses. They feel sturdy. They look sharp.And they feel like a great pair of glasses!
