Running on Music Jams

I know I have been a tad "running" light lately. Returning from injury isn't pretty. It's a slow process to rebuild your endurance and stamina. And you know to get to that place where you aren't sucking wind. I complain and get frustrated when I am injured, as anyone rightly should, but once I am running again it shuts me up. I want to enjoy and savor those moments again.
Lately, most of my running has been with friends. I have come a LONG way from my lonesome treks around town. Back then I would have to find multiple methods of keeping me sane out there - podcasts, music and audio books were my saviors.
These days, I am grateful for good friends and great conversation. But even then, sometimes I have to resort to my old ways and rely on some good ol' fashion music.

Here are some of my favorite songs that keep me bumping down the road:

  1. "Si No Le Contesto" by Plan B
  2. "Hearing Damage" by Thom Yorke
  3. "Move You" by Anya Marina
  4. "Bulletproof" by La Roux
  5. "Uprising" by The Muse
  6. "Just to Close to Love You" by Alex Clare
  7. "Sex on Fire" by Kings of Leon
  8. "Eyes Wide Open" Goyte
  9. "Give Me Everything" by Pitbull
  10. "Remember December" by Demi Lovato
  11. "Rock the Body" by Black Eyed Peas
  12. "Wild One" By Flo-Rida
  13. "As Long As You Love Me" by Justin Bieber
  14. "F**kin Perfect" by Pink
  15. "Hey Yo" by The Lumineers
I made it to where you can probably get a good 5-miler out of this list. Hope you enjoy.

What is your favorite running song?

  1. Perfect timing for your post! I need some new music for the Disney Marathon on Sunday, so thank you!! My favorite running song is Pit Bull's new song, Don't Stop the Party :)

  3. What a great list! Some are songs on my own running playlist, some are songs I'll need to look up. And... Anya Marina? Geez - I haven't heard anything from/about her since I saw her at a music festival in Pacific Beach (San Diego, CA) 8 years ago? 9? (Has that much time really passed?)

    Thanks for the suggestions!
