Fitness with an Airheads Bounce

For a long time now, I have wanted to visit an Airheads Fitness class. Airheads is not really known for their fitness classes. They are known for all the family bouncy fun. But from the moment Airheads opened its doors it had the inspiration to eventually start a fitness class. After visiting the place for some good times with my daughter, I made it a point to come back for a fitness class. Sadly life gets in the way, and well, I never got around to going.
Then maybe some time mid-last year, I started receiving emails from an employee at Airheads announcing the classes. I mentioned to Caroline that I wanted to schedule a meet up. I ended up having perfect timing and emailed Danielle, who was the one emailing me from Airheads, and scheduled a date.
Yesterday a group of the Tampa Bay Bloggers - Caroline, Denise, Heather, Jenny and I- all attended our first class at 7:45 a.m. We were greeted by a big group. A local TV station, WFLA was going to be doing a segment on the class.

I must say prior to attending the class, I didn't know what to expect of a class that takes place on a giant trampoline. For all intents and purposes the class was similar to any other type of class with the exception that the trampoline automatically boosts your heart rate to a hundred miles per hour. Everything including squats, pushups, running and lunges - seemed more intense because you had to fight harder to keep you balance on unsteady ground.

What a workout!!
Our trainers warmed us up with some simple jumps. Five minutes in and my heart was racing. Then we started doing some HIIT type workouts - one-minute of some exercise and then 30-second rest. We did that for about 15 minutes before we took a small break and did another 15 minutes of exercises. It was a full body workout. We did abs. We did cardio. We did legs. We did arms. Apparently, we even worked out our feet, considering mine are sore today.
The hardest part of the workout was the running. Yes, believe it running across a trampoline is hard as hell. The best part of the class was all the fun. I couldn't stop giggling.

Working out on a trampoline makes you feel like a kid.

Thanks to Airheads and the Tampa Bay Bloggers, I get to help you feel like a kid too. :) Airheads gave us each 5 tickets to give to our readers. Airheads makes it to where everyone gets one free class. Classes after are $10. The winners of these passes will get their initial free class and then have a pass for another free class. You also have the option of using the pass for a day of unlimited jumping. The pass is good in both the Tampa and Largo location. I am giving 4 people the opportunity to win. Three people can win one pass each and one person will win two.
I got five of these in my possession. Dying to give them away.
Who wants to give bouncing a shot?!

    1. Not sure if Boing has a fitness class. Airheads only has the two spots right now.
