I am here. I apologize in advance for my unprecedented mini vacation. I didn't plan on going that many days without checking in. Many unexpected things happened that kept me away from my personal computer.
Here is my week:
Feb. 18 - Coaching class (did some hill running)
Feb. 19 - Off
Feb. 20 - Off
Feb. 21 - Strength workout
Feb. 22 - Off
Feb. 23 - Off
Feb. 24 - Gasparilla 8K

Blogging wasn't the only place were things took a back seat. My workouts also suffered. I have no excuses. This is how it worked out and thankfully this week will be different.
On another note, I completed the Gasparilla 8K. I wouldn't call it much of a workout. My best friend's boyfriend signed up for the race having had no training. My friend and I stuck it out with him. We mostly walked but had some good running spurts in there. It ended up being a fun event.
My plan for Iron Girl technically already started. I have 7 weeks left before the big day. It will be my first half marathon in over a year. After experiencing some of the heat at Gasparilla, I realize I need to start incorporating some "hot" runs. I hear Iron Girl is always on the hotter side.
I will treat this week as my first week of training. Time to get 'er done!
